Overview:
Valencia Waste Management is pleased to announce a partnership with Carbon3ai, a UK-based technology company dedicated to developing sovereign AI infrastructure powered entirely by renewable energy.
The proposed Captive LFG-to-Power Project will generate renewable electricity from landfill gas (LFG) at eight Valencia sites across the UK. By capturing and utilising LFG, the project will reduce harmful emissions and provide a reliable source of on-site renewable energy. This electricity will be supplied directly to modular AI data centres, reducing dependence on the national grid and supporting long-term sustainability in waste management.
Through verified monitoring and reporting processes, the project will also enable the generation of carbon credits, reflect the measurable reduction of greenhouse-gas emissions and reinforce Valencia’s commitment to transparent, results-based climate action.
